Temasek is seeking a Vice President to join its Venture Capital Investments team. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to a global investment company's expanding portfolio of early-stage and growth companies, focusing on identifying and executing venture capital investments.

Temasek is a global investment company headquartered in Singapore, with a net portfolio value of S$382 billion (US$287 billion) as of March 31, 2023. Our investment philosophy is anchored on long-term sustainability and value creation. The Venture Capital team plays a critical role in identifying and backing innovative companies that align with our forward-looking themes, contributing to our overall strategy across various asset classes.

As Vice President, you will be instrumental in the full investment lifecycle within the venture capital asset class. Your responsibilities will encompass deal sourcing, comprehensive due diligence, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio management support. This position requires a professional with a robust analytical framework, a deep understanding of venture capital mechanics, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with a global team.

Key responsibilities include proactive deal sourcing and screening, identifying new investment opportunities within target sectors, and conducting initial assessments based on strategic fit and market potential. The Vice President will lead comprehensive commercial, technical, and financial due diligence processes, encompassing market analysis, technology evaluation, business model validation, and financial performance review. This role requires developing detailed financial models, performing valuation analyses, and assessing investment returns and risks. You will be responsible for preparing detailed investment memoranda and presentations for internal investment committees, participating in term sheet negotiation, and transaction structuring. Further responsibilities include monitoring portfolio company performance, providing strategic support, and assisting with follow-on investment decisions and exit planning. Ongoing industry research into emerging technologies and market trends, alongside cultivating relationships with founders, venture capital firms, and industry experts, are also critical components of this role.

This position is based in San Francisco, United States. The annual salary range for this Vice President role is $221,400 - $273,000. We invite qualified professionals to apply.
