Role Overview

Schematic seeks a full-time Principal deeply embedded in the SF technology, startup, and AI community. Senior investment role with a path to partnership.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and win pre-seed/seed investment opportunities

- Build trusted relationships with founders, engineers, operators, and investors

- Develop investment theses around emerging technical markets

- Lead diligence, technical research, and financial analysis

- Manage investment process from first meeting through close

- Support portfolio companies on fundraising, strategy, and talent

Requirements

- 2-4+ years of relevant venture capital experience

- Active network across SF founders, operators, engineers, and investors

- Demonstrated track record in early-stage company investments

- Strong technical background or aptitude
