Investment Associate

Project A Ventures, a Berlin-based operational venture capital firm with offices in London, is seeking an Investment Associate to join its 11-member investment team on a two-year fixed-term programme.

The Investment Associate will work closely with senior investors to identify, evaluate, and support portfolio companies across Project A focus areas, which include B2B SaaS, marketplaces, fintech, and deep tech. The firm currently manages over EUR 1 billion in assets and has backed companies such as WorldRemit, Catawiki, and Voi.

Key responsibilities include conducting structured due diligence on prospective investment opportunities, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of business models and market dynamics, researching emerging technology trends to develop investment theses, and preparing investment memoranda and presentations for the partnership. The Associate will also collaborate with platform and portfolio teams to support existing portfolio companies with commercial, operational, and strategic challenges.

Candidates should bring 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a high-growth startup. Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to synthesize complex information quickly are essential. Experience in technology-enabled businesses or direct startup experience is valued.

Project A operates with an operational model that distinguishes it from traditional VC firms. Beyond capital, the firm provides direct functional support through internal specialists in data, design, marketing, recruiting, and engineering. Associates are expected to engage with these teams and contribute to portfolio value creation beyond deal sourcing and analysis.

The London office is a key hub for European sourcing. The Associate will attend industry events, maintain founder relationships, and contribute to originating proprietary deal flow.
