Consulting Chief Financial Officer

Role Overview

IXSAR Capital, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm focused on space-tech, autonomy, and robotics, is hiring a Consulting Chief Financial Officer. This full-time, on-site role leads financial strategy and oversight across the firm and selected portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain financial plans and models

- Oversee budgeting and forecasting

- Provide strategic guidance on capital allocation and fundraising

- Review and interpret financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

- Establish robust internal controls and financial processes

- Collaborate with partners and founders on scenario analysis, risk management, and performance metrics

- Present financial insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling

- Expertise in financial statements and reporting, with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly

- Advanced analytical skills, including scenario planning, variance analysis, and data-driven decision-making

- Extensive experience in venture capital, private equity, or high-growth startup environments, ideally in technology sectors

- Proven track record building and improving financial systems, controls, and compliance frameworks

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting to executive leadership and boards

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred
