Role Overview

DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States, with approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 85 renewable energy projects in 24 states. DESRI is seeking an Associate or Associate Director (title and compensation commensurate with experience) to work on strategy, analysis, new market identification, M&A, and financing transactions, supporting the Finance & Acquisitions and Strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Support development of DESRI market strategy and new project origination decisions via power market research and trend tracking (Strategy Team focus)

- Support M&A and financing transactions across the renewable energy portfolio

- Work on analysis, new market identification, and strategic initiatives
