About This Role

A well-established renewable energy platform active across Asia Pacific is seeking a Director of Investments & Business Development to lead the origination, structuring, and execution of investments across solar, wind, battery energy storage (BESS), and broader energy transition projects.

This is a high-impact senior role reporting to executive leadership, with responsibility for the full investment lifecycle from deal origination through financial close. The successful candidate will work closely with internal leadership, lenders, developers, advisors, and government stakeholders to identify and execute renewable energy investment opportunities across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead origination and business development activities for renewable energy opportunities across APAC, including solar, wind, BESS, and other energy transition sectors. Lead commercial negotiations with developers, landowners, EPCs, utilities, lenders, investors, and key counterparties. Support project development activities including permitting, offtake discussions, concession agreements, and regulatory engagement. Build and maintain detailed financial models, investment cases, valuation analysis, and transaction materials for internal investment committees and external stakeholders. Lead project financing activities including lender engagement, term sheet negotiation, debt structuring, and coordination of financing workstreams through financial close. Coordinate technical, legal, tax, commercial, and financial due diligence processes alongside external advisors. Work closely with senior leadership on portfolio strategy, market expansion, and pipeline development across the region.

Requirements: Proven track record in infrastructure investment, project finance, or energy sector M&A. Deep understanding of renewable energy project development and financing structures in Asia Pacific. Strong financial modeling skills and experience with investment committee processes. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills across cross-cultural environments.
