Key Responsibilities:

The Vice President will manage the full investment lifecycle within the AI domain. Core responsibilities include:

Sourcing and Pipeline Development:* Proactively identifying and engaging with AI-focused startups, founders, and co-investors to build a robust investment pipeline. This involves comprehensive market research, attending relevant industry events, and leveraging professional networks.

Due Diligence and Analytical Assessment:* Conducting thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities. This entails evaluating company technology, product-market fit, business models, competitive landscape, and management teams. Core analytical tasks include financial modeling, valuation analysis, risk assessment, and detailed market opportunity sizing.

Investment Recommendation and Execution:* Preparing detailed investment memos and presenting findings and recommendations to the Citi Ventures Investment Committee. Leading deal negotiation processes, including term sheet structuring and legal documentation review, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and favorable outcomes.

Portfolio Management and Value Creation:* Providing strategic support and guidance to portfolio companies post-investment. This includes monitoring performance, facilitating introductions to relevant Citi business units, and assisting with follow-on financing rounds to support growth and success.

Market Intelligence and Strategy:* Maintaining an informed perspective on emerging trends, technological advancements, and competitive dynamics within the Artificial Intelligence sector. Contributing to the development and refinement of Citi Ventures' AI investment strategy.

Ecosystem Engagement:* Cultivating and expanding relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industry experts, and other key stakeholders across the AI and broader venture capital ecosystem.

Location and Compensation:

This position is based in San Francisco, United States. The salary for this role ranges from $129,840 to $194,760, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
