About This Role

Cerberus Capital Management, a global leader in alternative investing with approximately $70 billion in assets across credit, private equity, and real estate strategies, is seeking an Operating Partner for Enterprise IT.

Founded in 1992, Cerberus is known for its integrated investment platforms and proprietary operating capabilities. The Operating Partner, Enterprise IT joins Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company (COAC), a purpose-built operations platform deploying subject-matter experts, operating executives, and industry veterans across all stages of the investment lifecycle.

The Operating Partner will focus on accelerating technology-enabled value creation across portfolio companies. Partnering closely with investment teams and portfolio company leadership, the role assesses and strengthens enterprise IT capabilities — including data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and applications — to shape and execute technology strategies that drive scalability, resilience, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include leading enterprise IT diligence for new investments and add-on acquisitions; evaluating technology strategy, architecture, cybersecurity, and IT financials through an investment lens; identifying risks and execution gaps that impact deal viability and returns; advising senior technology executives and stepping into interim CIO/CTO roles when needed; and fostering cross-portfolio collaboration to scale best practices and repeatable value creation initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a senior technology executive with extensive experience in enterprise IT leadership, PE-backed company environments, and a track record of driving measurable operational improvements.
