Corporate Finance Lead (Partner)

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is one of the world's preeminent venture capital firms, managing $90B+ across multiple funds and backing transformative technology companies from seed to growth stage—including Airbnb, Coinbase, Databricks, GitHub, Roblox, Stripe, and SpaceX.

As Corporate Finance Lead (internally titled Partner 36), you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and unify the firm's corporate accounting and corporate finance functions. This is a foundational leadership role at a firm operating at the frontier of technology and innovation.

What you will own:

- Company-wide corporate accounting and financial reporting

- Corporate finance activities and firmwide financial planning & analysis

- Contractor workforce governance and T&E policy management

- International expansion infrastructure and cross-border finance operations

- Building a scalable, technology-enabled financial foundation for a rapidly growing complex organization

What you bring:

- Deep technical accounting expertise (CPA required or equivalent)

- Mature financial judgment and systems-thinking for complex, multi-entity structures

- Experience building finance teams and processes from the ground up

- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment

- Prior experience at a VC firm, investment bank, or complex financial institution strongly preferred
