Senior Associate / Director, Private Equity Performance Improvement - Operations & Supply Chain

<p>Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a global consulting firm with entrepreneurial professionals, is seeking a Senior Associate / Director for its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice in Germany (Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, or Hamburg). The role focuses on Operations & Supply Chain with a strong emphasis on the Food & Beverage industry.</p><p>The position involves leading and delivering large, complex engagements for private equity-backed food and beverage companies, working closely with PE deal teams and operating partners.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Evaluate the operability, efficiency, and compliance of food production and manufacturing facilities</li><li>Analyse current and historical operational data to assess productivity, capacity, yield, and performance across production lines</li><li>Identify and quantify value creation and cost improvement opportunities, including lean transformations, waste reduction, and site consolidation</li><li>Develop end-to-end transformation roadmaps tailored to food production environments with clear impact assessment and implementation planning</li><li>Lead execution, oversee high-quality deliverables, and manage teams and client relationships for private equity sponsors and portfolio companies</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Extensive professional experience combining industry and consulting with a strong track record in Food & Beverage, FMCG, or adjacent manufacturing sectors</li><li>Proven experience working for or with private equity sponsors and PE-backed portfolio companies</li><li>Deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations, or Footprint Optimisation within food production</li><li>Fluent German and English communication skills</li></ul>
