Senior Associate — Cardinal Investment Team (Spike Ventures)

Alumni Ventures seeks a Senior Associate for their Cardinal Investment Team, focusing on Spike Ventures investments at Seed to Series A stages, with approximately one-third in Growth stage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and research investment opportunities; develop deal pipelines

- Vet opportunities through founder and customer interviews

- Develop investment memos and support Investment Committee processes

- Own consistent sourcing: inbound tracking, proactive outreach, and networking

- Build relationships with VCs, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem participants

- Monitor existing investments and support portfolio companies

- Conduct competitive and market research; develop investment theses

Requirements:

- 1-5 years venture capital experience plus 5-10 years overall work experience

- MBA or advanced degree preferred; Stanford background advantageous

- Demonstrated experience with AI tools and platforms

- Strong analytical, financial analysis, organizational, and writing skills

- Five days per week in-office at Menlo Park

Compensation: $150,000-$160,000 base salary plus equity, carry potential, and corporate bonus
