Investment Analyst

500 Global, a venture capital firm managing $2.2B in assets, seeks an Analyst for its Global Investment Team. Based in Palo Alto, this full-time in-person role requires Monday-Friday onsite presence. The position focuses on identifying and evaluating early-stage startups with scalable models across 80+ countries. Successful candidates will support deal execution by constructing financial models, analyzing business plans, and drafting investment memos. Analysts research emerging industries, map competitive landscapes, and develop investment themes to guide capital deployment decisions. Portfolio oversight comprises another key responsibility: tracking KPIs and performance metrics to guide startup growth. Technical contributions include building dashboards, automating reporting systems, and collaborating with Data and IT teams to enhance analytics infrastructure. The role also involves maintaining databases tracking startups, co-investors, and follow-on financing opportunities. Requirements include a bachelor degree in a relevant field and two or more years in high-growth startups, consulting, strategy, or finance. Candidates need a curious, analytical, and entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication abilities, and programming experience. Comfort with AI tools is essential, along with integrity, discretion, and team-oriented cultural alignment. Desirable qualifications include Computer Science background, founder experience, or early-stage employment history.
