Visoid Raises $2.5M for AI Architecture Visualization

Oslo-based Visoid has successfully closed a $2.5 million funding round aimed at enhancing its artificial intelligence-powered visualization platform tailored for architectural design. The capital infusion is earmarked for accelerating product development, expanding the company's global market presence, and bolstering its engineering and commercial teams.

The seed funding was spearheaded by Skyfall Ventures, with significant backing from existing investors including StartupLab, OBOS, and Antler. New participants in this round include Farvatn and byFounders Angel Collective, underscoring a broad investor confidence in Visoid's innovative approach to architectural visualization.

Founded in 2023 by former architect Mark Szoke and serial entrepreneur Joachim Holwech, Visoid addresses a critical need within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector. The platform leverages AI to rapidly transform existing 3D architectural models into high-fidelity renders. This capability allows designers to explore design iterations and communicate concepts more effectively, bypassing the time-consuming traditional rendering pipelines that often delay project feedback loops.

Visoid's unique value proposition lies in its integration of AI early in the design process. Unlike general image generation tools, the platform works directly with established architectural models, ensuring that design intent is preserved throughout the visualization and iteration stages. This focus on workflow integration is particularly relevant as the AEC industry increasingly adopts digital tools and seeks efficiencies in design communication and client engagement. The global construction market, valued at trillions of dollars, is ripe for technological disruption that can streamline complex design processes.
