The urgency for such a platform is underscored by recent industry data. A survey by IBM Corp. revealed that a significant 77% of technology executives globally reported that their organizations' AI adoption has outpaced their governance capabilities. This gap highlights a critical need for tools that can manage the proliferation of AI-driven tools, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and integrated effectively into existing IT infrastructure.

Eoin Hinchy, co-founder and CEO of Tines, emphasized the shift in development challenges. "The ease of creating software with AI has transformed the landscape. The real hurdle now lies in securely connecting these creations to enterprise systems, understanding what's active, verifying its trustworthiness, and assigning responsibility," Hinchy stated. "Tines 3B was conceived to provide enterprises with a dedicated environment for building, operating, and governing AI-generated workflows, applications, and agents."

Tines 3B empowers users to define desired functionalities using natural language, with the platform then constructing these workflows, strictly adhering to authorized tools, systems, and data. Deployed applications and automations benefit from robust credential protection, isolated execution environments, and comprehensive logging. A self-healing mechanism is incorporated to proactively identify and rectify inconsistencies, ensuring workflow continuity even when encountering unforeseen conditions.

The platform also introduces a unified monitoring console, offering a single pane of glass for all applications, agents, integrations, and automations running across an organization's systems, regardless of where they were initially built. This centralized management capability is a key differentiator, allowing teams to oversee workflows created within Tines 3B or through external coding assistants.

Architecturally, Tines 3B isolates each workflow step in a temporary environment, preventing cross-contamination between different operations or users by design. This security-first approach was a critical factor for early adopters like Fin (formerly Intercom Inc.), where Emanuele Sparvoli, Senior Director of IT, cited governance and monitoring features, including credential protection and access controls, as paramount to their deployment decision.

Tines recently secured $125 million in a Series C funding round led by Goldman Sachs Group Inc., valuing the company at $1.125 billion.
