Huskeys Raises $8M for Edge Security Management Platform

A new player, Huskeys Security Ltd., has emerged from stealth, securing $8 million in seed funding to redefine web application security. The company aims to address critical shortcomings in traditional Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), which struggle to keep pace with the evolving nature of internet traffic, increasingly dominated by APIs and automated agents rather than human users. This funding injection will fuel the expansion of their innovative Edge Security Management (ESM) platform and accelerate its adoption among global enterprises.

The core problem Huskeys tackles is the obsolescence of legacy WAF technologies. In today's digital ecosystem, distinguishing between legitimate and malicious traffic is a significant challenge, leading many security teams to disengage from optimizing their WAFs due to the high operational overhead and false positive rates. Itai Gafni, co-founder and CEO, highlighted this dilemma, stating that the shift in traffic patterns has rendered traditional security measures largely ineffective, forcing a compromise between security and operational efficiency.
