Concentra Expands Minnesota Occupational Health Network

Concentra, a national leader in occupational health services, has significantly expanded its presence in the Twin Cities metropolitan area through the acquisition of four medical centers previously operating under the Minnesota Occupational Health banner. This strategic move elevates Concentra's statewide network in Minnesota to a total of 10 facilities, reinforcing its commitment to serving the region's workforce. The newly integrated locations in Coon Rapids, Eagan, St. Paul, and Shakopee will begin operating under the Concentra brand starting August 17, ensuring continuity of care for existing patients and employer partners.

The integration plan involves infusing the acquired centers with Concentra's established clinical protocols, advanced technological infrastructure, and specialized occupational health expertise. A key component of this expansion is the planned enhancement of the St. Paul/Midway facility, which Concentra intends to develop into a premier occupational health hub for the broader region. This initiative underscores Concentra's strategy to consolidate and elevate service delivery in key markets where it has identified substantial growth potential.

This expansion comes at a time when the demand for accessible and specialized occupational health services is growing. The U.S. occupational health market is projected to see continued expansion, driven by an aging workforce, increasing regulatory compliance needs, and a greater emphasis on employee well-being and productivity. Concentra's move positions it to capture a larger share of this dynamic market, particularly in the Midwest, a region with a robust industrial and commercial base.

Concentra, which has maintained operations in Minnesota since 2018, offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to support employers and employees. These include prompt treatment for workplace injuries, physical rehabilitation, drug and alcohol testing, Department of Transportation physicals, pre-employment screenings, and ongoing medical surveillance programs. The company also leverages its Concentra Telemed platform to provide virtual care for minor workplace injuries, enhancing accessibility and reducing downtime for employees.

With a national footprint encompassing approximately 13,000 employees, affiliated physicians, and clinicians, Concentra's operational scale is substantial. As of June 30, 2026, the organization managed 633 occupational health centers and 415 employer-site clinics across 46 states and the District of Columbia, facilitating an average of 54,000 patient visits daily. This extensive network allows for consistent service delivery and rapid response to employer needs nationwide.
