AVP, Alternatives Manager Research (Secondaries)

Wilshire, an investment advisory firm managing over $1 trillion in assets for institutional clients, is seeking an AVP for its Alternatives Manager Research team. The role focuses on private markets research and due diligence across private equity, private credit, and real assets, with a particular emphasis on secondaries strategies.

The AVP will act as a key member of deal teams, sourcing and underwriting opportunities across primary funds, secondaries, and co-investments, and drafting investment memorandums. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with private fund managers across North America, conducting comprehensive market and manager research, and monitoring existing investments.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of experience in the private equity industry, with direct secondaries experience strongly preferred. Training from a recognized investment bank or management consulting firm is preferred. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, breadth of underwriting across PE, credit, and real assets, and established institutional relationships in North America. CFA or MBA is a plus.
