Senior Associate - Pomona

Role Overview

Voya Investment Management is hiring a Senior Associate to join the secondary private equity investment team behind Pomona Capital, Voya's private equity secondaries platform, in New York.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the secondaries PE investment team in conducting due diligence on private equity funds and managers, and assessing investment opportunities

- Review annual and quarterly reports and financial statements of venture capital, LBO, and mezzanine funds

- Analyze the long-term viability of underlying portfolio companies, their markets, financing needs, and exit options

- Participate in deal meetings covering pricing, structuring, and negotiation tactics

- Support portfolio management and quarterly/annual portfolio reporting

- Prepare investment analysis for presentation to the Investment Committee

Qualifications

- 2–5 years of experience in secondaries private equity, investment banking, or private equity

- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business management preferred

- Exposure to principal investing, M&A, and/or leveraged finance preferred

- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and projection skills; solid understanding of capital structures and valuation
