AVP, Direct Infrastructure

Voya Investment Management, a leading institutional asset management firm, is seeking an AVP for its Direct Infrastructure team focused on debt investments in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors. The New York City/Tri-State area is preferred, though qualified candidates from other U.S. locations will be considered.

In this role, you will assist in the origination, implementation, and monitoring of investment opportunities for client portfolios consisting of selected debt investments in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities across asset origination include: analyzing credit and investment characteristics of borrowing entities; assisting in structuring and evaluating suitable terms and conditions including covenants; preparing written analysis for credit committee; performing due diligence with company management and outside consultants; and assisting in sourcing investment opportunities.

On the documents and closing side, you will assist senior team members and counsel in finalizing credit agreements and closing transactions including funds flow and final documentation.

Portfolio monitoring responsibilities include organizing and maintaining fund investment files, monitoring credit quality and compliance with loan covenants, maintaining communication with borrowers and consultants, and reviewing amendment and waiver requests.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of industry experience with 2-5 years in structured credit, project finance, or infrastructure lending. Experience with renewable energy transactions and familiarity with credit agreement documentation is highly valued.
