Managing VC Director

UTM Ventures (TUM Venture Labs) seeks a Managing VC Director to lead the TUM Venture Lab Robotics/AI in Munich, one of Europe's premier hubs for science-based entrepreneurship. This leadership role combines strategic direction with hands-on venture-building expertise, transforming cutting-edge robotics and AI research into globally competitive deep-tech startups. Key responsibilities include securing funding, managing operations via OKR framework, building a startup pipeline from research to investor-ready companies, and developing ecosystem partnerships across researchers, industry, and investors. The ideal candidate brings several years of experience in deep-tech entrepreneurship, venture building, or VC, with strong knowledge of robotics and AI. Team leadership, stakeholder management skills, and fluency in English and German are essential. Position starts July 2026 with a minimum of 32 hours per week on-site in Munich.
