Senior Director, FP&A – Tishman Speyer
Tishman Speyer, a preeminent global private equity firm, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to significantly influence strategic decision-making and financial performance across the firm’s extensive private equity asset portfolio. The Senior Director, FP&A will be instrumental in leading comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of private equity financial structures and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for an executive audience.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Planning & Forecasting:* Directing the annual budgeting cycle, long-range financial planning, and dynamic forecasting processes to align with the firm’s strategic objectives and investment horizons.
Financial Modeling & Analysis:* Developing and maintaining advanced financial models to support investment valuations, portfolio performance analysis, capital allocation decisions, and scenario planning.
Performance Reporting:* Preparing detailed financial performance reports, variance analyses, and management presentations for the Executive Committee, investment teams, and other key stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Operational Partnership:* Collaborating closely with investment professionals, asset management teams, and operational leaders to understand underlying business drivers, challenge assumptions, and ensure financial plans reflect operational realities.
Process Enhancement:* Identifying and implementing improvements to FP&A processes, systems, and reporting methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and analytical capabilities.
Team Leadership:* Managing and mentoring a team of dedicated FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, analytical rigor, and continuous professional development.
Strategic Contribution:* Providing proactive financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, M&A activities, and capital markets decisions.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in FP&A within the private equity or broader financial services industry, demonstrating a proven track record of strategic financial leadership and analytical excellence. A master's degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA), is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for engaging effectively with executive stakeholders and translating complex financial concepts.
This full-time position is based in New York, United States. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with the extensive experience and qualifications required for this senior leadership role.
