About This Role

About the Role

SV Health Investors — a leading transatlantic life sciences venture capital firm with approximately $2 billion in assets under management — is hiring an Analyst/Associate to join its London-based investment team. Based in London and Boston, the firm specializes in precision medicine company creation, having backed over 200 companies since 1993, resulting in 30 approved drugs and six new drug classes.

The role reports to Managing Partners Kate Bingham (former head of the UK Vaccine Taskforce) and Nikola Trbovic, and covers the full investment cycle from scientific due diligence to company creation, with direct exposure to senior decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

- Source emerging science and investment opportunities across the US, UK, and EU by monitoring academic spin-outs, pharma pipelines, and the broader biotech ecosystem

- Lead rigorous scientific and commercial due diligence, building comprehensive investment cases covering R&D strategy, development plans, budgets, and valuation analysis

- Support portfolio company growth and company creation by contributing to scientific strategy, team formation, and early business development for newly launched ventures

Qualifications

- PhD in a relevant area of biology from a leading laboratory, with a deep mechanistic understanding of disease and therapeutic innovation

- At least two years of professional experience in life sciences venture capital, strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, L.E.K.), investment banking, or biotech business development

- Strong commercial instinct, with the ability to distinguish interesting science from fundable business opportunities while operating independently

Firm Track Record

SV Health Investors' recent exits include EyeBio to Merck ($3 billion) and Nimbus Therapeutics to Takeda ($4 billion).
