Investment Associate

The firm takes a long-term, partnership-driven approach, working closely with management teams to build durable, high-quality businesses with permanent, long-term capital unconstrained by traditional fund lifecycle pressures.

Superlinear is seeking a talented Investment Associate to join its investment team as a core member of deal teams from day one. The role offers broad exposure across sourcing, execution, and portfolio management in a generalist capacity.

Key responsibilities include driving proprietary deal origination through direct outreach, sector mapping, and relationship development with business owners, intermediaries, and industry contacts; identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities through proactive pipeline development; leading financial modeling including operating models, returns analyses, and scenario/sensitivity analyses; conducting deep industry research to develop and pressure-test investment theses; preparing investment memoranda and transaction materials; and supporting end-to-end due diligence across financial, commercial, legal, and operational workstreams.

Qualifications include 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related field, with genuine interest in one or more of Superlinear's core sectors: business and technology services, manufacturing, industrials, or healthcare. The ideal candidate has strong sourcing instincts and thrives in an entrepreneurial, operator-driven environment.
