Market Risk Analyst

Soros Fund Management LLC (SFM), a global asset manager and family office founded by George Soros in 1970, is seeking a Market Risk Analyst to join its Risk Management team. With $28 billion in assets under management, SFM serves as the principal asset manager for the Open Society Foundations and employs 200 professionals across offices in New York, Greenwich, Garden City, London, and Dublin.

SFM invests opportunistically with a long-term view across a wide range of strategies and asset classes, including public and private equity and credit, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternative assets. The firm operates with permanent capital, a select group of major clients, and an unconstrained mandate.

The Market Risk Analyst role offers broad exposure across asset classes and investment strategies, from traditional to alternative investments. The position engages directly with portfolio managers, contributes to the firm's risk oversight framework, supports portfolio construction decisions, and helps shape evolving risk infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include building and enhancing tools, dashboards and reports for risk monitoring and analysis, monitoring exposures, risk metrics, P&L and mandates, identifying and communicating emerging risks, engaging portfolio managers on limit processes, and contributing to risk infrastructure development. The role provides direct interaction with portfolio managers and investment teams in a collaborative environment.
