About This Role
Soros Fund Management LLC (SFM) is a global asset manager and family office founded by George Soros in 1973, with $28 billion in assets under management. The firm serves as the principal asset manager for the Open Society Foundations and invests opportunistically across public and private equity and credit, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternative assets with a long-term view.
The COO of Investments plays a central executive role in shaping the firm's investment platform, partnering closely with the CIO to ensure the organization is equipped to drive long-term performance. The role serves as the primary interface between investment teams and central functions, driving clarity, prioritization, and execution across all investment operations.
Positioned at the intersection of investing, data, risk, and technology, the COO of Investments aligns execution with strategy, ensuring that portfolio managers and traders are supported by robust infrastructure, high-quality data, and clear operating frameworks. The role requires strong judgment, strategic perspective, and execution discipline.
The successful candidate will partner with the CIO and CTO to drive strategic initiatives, synthesize diverse stakeholder objectives, rigorously evaluate trade-offs, challenge assumptions, and drive implementation. The position reports directly to the CEO/CIO and acts as a partner to the firm COO and investment leadership team.
SFM is headquartered in New York City with offices in Greenwich, Garden City, London, and Dublin, and employs approximately 200 professionals.
