Private Equity Principal / Managing Director

Skyview Ventures is a well-established private equity firm with a 20+ year track record, focused on lower middle-market investments in special situations, corporate carveouts, and value-oriented opportunities. The firm is seeking a Principal / Managing Director to lead the full lifecycle of investments from sourcing through exit, while driving strategy, portfolio performance, and firm growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead investment origination, evaluation, and execution across special situations and complex transactions

- Oversee full deal lifecycle: financial modeling, diligence, structuring, and negotiation

- Drive value creation initiatives across portfolio companies (growth, operational improvements, margin expansion)

- Partner with leadership to shape investment strategy and firm positioning

- Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, lenders, co-investors, and management teams

- Mentor and develop junior investment professionals

Qualifications:

- 10-15+ years of experience in private equity, M&A, or principal investing

- Proven track record sourcing, executing, and exiting lower middle-market deals

- Experience with special situations, carveouts, distressed, or complex transactions

- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical expertise

- Leadership experience managing and developing teams

- MBA preferred; CFA/CPA a plus

Compensation: $350,000 base salary. Located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
