About This Role

Role Overview

Singh Capital Partners, a private investment firm investing across real estate, private equity, venture capital, and operating businesses, is hiring a Head of Capital Formation to lead the firm's capital raising. This is a founding seat reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer, with an established base of prior investors to reactivate and expand.

Key Responsibilities

- Reactivate and deepen relationships with the firm's existing investor base, converting them into new and expanded commitments

- Extend the network outward to family offices, RIAs, wealth platforms, and high-net-worth investors

- Own the full fundraising process: positioning, pitch materials, meetings, due diligence responses, term discussions, and closing commitments

- Build, track, and report on the capital formation pipeline to the CIO

- Represent the firm at conferences, investor events, and meetings

- Shape the firm's investor-facing narrative and market positioning

Fund administration, capital calls, and investor reporting are handled internally by the firm's finance and operations team, so the role is fully focused on investor-facing capital raising.

Qualifications

- 8+ years in capital formation, fundraising, or investor coverage at a private equity, real estate, venture, or alternative asset platform

- Track record of converting warm relationships into committed capital, with specifics on amounts raised and from whom

- Command of fund economics, structures, and investor diligence processes

- Comfortable working an existing, defined investor base while also being comfortable building process from zero (no existing platform, deck library, or CRM to inherit)

- Bachelor's degree required; CFA, CAIA, or MBA welcome

- Preferred: experience raising for a first-time or emerging manager, existing relationships in the DMV/Mid-Atlantic region, Series 7/63 license or willingness to obtain

Compensation & Location

Base salary of $130,000-$160,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based compensation tied to capital raised. The role is on-site in Bethesda, MD, and includes health/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) with 4% safe harbor match, and paid time off.

The firm frames this as an opportunity to own the fundraising function directly under the principal, with no layer of management in between, working from a warm investor base rather than a blank pipeline.
