Sr. Direct Private Investment Associate

Santander US's private banking platform is building a new direct private investment capability offering curated access to growth and late-stage private company equity for ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients. As Sr. Direct Private Investment Associate, you will be a foundational hire building this business line from the ground up.

The role focuses on pre-IPO companies, growth-stage businesses, and secondary market opportunities in private securities, combining deep investment analysis with client-facing private banking delivery.

What you will do:

- Source, analyze, and execute investments in private companies and non-listed securities

- Design and implement the end-to-end framework for direct investment opportunities (primary and secondary), including product structures, execution workflows, governance, and reporting

- Define the target investment universe: late-stage growth companies, unicorns, dual-track IPO candidates, and eligible secondary transactions

- Conduct rigorous due diligence on private company investments including financials, cap table analysis, and shareholder dynamics

- Build and manage relationships with private market platforms, issuers, intermediaries, and co-investors

- Interact directly with UHNW and HNW clients to provide investment advice and transaction support across the full investment lifecycle

- Ensure regulatory compliance and governance for private securities transactions within a U.S. private banking context

What you bring:

- 5–8 years of experience in growth equity, PE, VC, or private securities at a bank, fund, or platform

- Strong expertise in secondary private markets, pre-IPO transactions, and cap table analysis

- Existing network across private market platforms (Nasdaq Private Market, Forge, EquityZen, or equivalent)

- Series 7, 63, or 65 licenses preferred

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus given Miami client base
