Private Equity Associate

RiverGlade Capital is a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on control buyouts of growth-oriented, lower middle-market healthcare companies. Founded in 2017, RiverGlade is currently investing out of Fund II, a $453 million fund targeting companies with $3 million to $20 million of EBITDA.

As an Associate, the hire will play a pivotal role in RiverGlade's investment strategy and execution, participating in the full spectrum of the private equity investment cycle from sourcing and diligence to deal execution and portfolio company management, working within lean, collaborative deal teams with day-to-day engagement with RiverGlade's founding Partners. The Associate will be based in Chicago with a Summer 2027 start date.

Responsibilities: support evaluation and due diligence of new platform and add-on investment opportunities; build and maintain complex financial models including operating models, valuation analyses, LBO models, and return scenarios; support transaction execution by coordinating with investment bankers, management teams, lenders, and advisors; prepare investment committee materials; work closely with CEOs and CFOs of portfolio companies and support value creation initiatives; monitor portfolio company performance and attend quarterly board meetings.

Requirements: minimum of 2 years of experience in an investment banking program at a bulge-bracket or well-known middle-market investment bank; excellent financial modeling and analytical abilities; bachelor's degree with strong academic performance; ability to work onsite in Chicago (in-office position); healthcare experience preferred but not required.
