Prospect Capital Management (PCM) is hiring a Portfolio Optimization Professional to help improve performance across a set of U.S. Middle Market businesses that PCM controls. The role is based primarily on-site at portfolio businesses, with time also spent at PCM's New York City offices.

PCM is an asset manager managing Prospect Capital Corp. (PCC), a publicly traded investment company (a BDC/RIC) with approximately $9.4 billion in AUM. PCC maintains controlling equity stakes in a set of 18 U.S. Middle Market businesses across a range of industries, with PCM comprised of 140+ professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Join the Portfolio Optimization team within PCM to improve the operating performance of controlled Middle Market businesses

- Spend significant time on-site with the management and staff of PCC's portfolio businesses

- Apply operational or strategy consulting experience to identify and execute value-creation initiatives

- Travel extensively to support in-person engagement with portfolio company operations across the U.S.

Requirements

The role calls for a motivated, proactive professional with 8+ years of experience in operational or strategy consulting, including meaningful training in improving business operations.

Location

New York City metro area — full-time, on-site with significant travel.
