Investment Leader, Technology (Vice President)

Role Overview

Partners Group is hiring an Investment Leader (Vice President) to join its Technology team in the Americas. The Technology team includes 15+ dedicated investment professionals in the US and executes both growth and buyout transactions in companies typically valued between $500 million and $2 billion in enterprise value, with a thematic, sector-focused sourcing approach.

Key Responsibilities

- Source, execute, and lead direct investments in technology businesses across the Americas, proactively identifying investment themes rather than waiting for inbound deal flow

- Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence, overseeing team members and third-party advisors

- Develop and review valuation analyses and lead preparation of investment memoranda for Investment Committee presentations

- Lead review and negotiation of legal transaction documentation (SPA, SHA, MIP, etc.), coordinating internal and external legal advisors

- Contribute to structuring and raising debt financing alongside the firm's Capital Markets team

- Engage with portfolio company management teams and boards, guiding board materials and post-closing value-creation initiatives

- Develop and manage exit strategies, including IPO and sell-side processes

- Manage relationships with investment stakeholders and counterparties

- Recruit, lead, and mentor junior transaction professionals

- Support client-facing activities such as pitches, updates, and reporting

Qualifications

- At least 6+ years of private equity experience with a focus on the technology vertical, typically preceded by 2-3 years in investment banking

- Strong understanding of the technology landscape, top software categories, and SaaS business models

- Existing relationships with intermediaries

- Superior business judgment in assessing investment opportunities across market trends, strategic dynamics, and management quality

- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to manage investment processes end-to-end

- Background in a technical discipline (computer science, data science) is a plus

Compensation & Location

Base salary range of $250,000-$275,000, plus performance-based bonus and equity. The role is based in Broomfield, US, and includes benefits such as medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) match, 25 vacation days, and a one-month sabbatical after every 5 years of service.
