Role Overview

Partners Group is seeking an Associate-level investment professional in Denver (Broomfield, CO) to join its direct private equity investment team. The role focuses on leading control buyouts with equity check sizes ranging from USD 300M to USD 800M+, covering consumer and industrial industry verticals.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply critical thinking and judgment in prioritizing investment opportunities

- Prepare industry and competitive research on industrials and specific businesses

- Lead construction of detailed, business unit-based financial models including optimal capital structure, purchase price, adjustments, and sensitivities to economic conditions

- Draft investment committee reports while supervising external resources

- Interact with third-party due diligence partners (tax professionals, attorneys, technical consultants, insurance, environmental)

- Assist in negotiating debt facilities and support the Deal Captain in negotiating purchase agreements, employment agreements, and incentive compensation

- Act proactively to identify, address, and resolve issues in investment management

- Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities such as acquisitions, divestitures, or entering new market verticals

- Provide support in investment exit process management

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary: $155,000 – $175,000 (plus performance-based bonus)

- 25 vacation days and 12 holidays annually
