Associate, New PE Strategy

Partners Group is seeking an Associate to join its newly established Total Return Strategy in Denver, Colorado — a unique opportunity to help build and scale a new private equity strategy from the ground up.

About the Strategy

The Total Return Strategy is designed to pursue a differentiated return profile by combining recurring dividends with equity appreciation. The strategy focuses on high-quality, cash-generative businesses that are often a misfit for traditional LBO structures, using lower leverage and targeting companies with recurring dividend potential — addressing a gap in the corporate capital marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain robust transaction models including operating builds, valuations, returns analysis, sensitivities, and scenarios

- Draft Investment Committee memos and presentations translating diligence into clear investment recommendations

- Drive analytical workstreams across commercial, financial, and operational diligence

- Operate on lean, nimble deal teams alongside senior investors with meaningful ownership of core analyses

- Coordinate with internal partners and external advisors across documentation, data requests, and process management
