Senior Associate / Principal

Oyster Bay Venture Capital is a Hamburg-based VC firm investing in founders building a sustainable food system for future generations. Portfolio companies include Oatly, AirUp, Stenon, TrueGum, Peas of Heaven, nukoko, and GoodBytz. The firm's first fund ranked in the top 10% of European VC funds. In 2025, Oyster Bay closed its oversubscribed second fund and is now deploying that capital.

As Senior Associate/Principal, you will be a core member of the investment team, responsible for keeping Oyster Bay at the leading edge of the AgTech & Food ecosystem in Europe. You are expected to lead deals quickly and take on board mandates within the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include hypothesis-driven deal sourcing and network building across the European startup ecosystem; leading due diligence and investment scorecard assessments; portfolio founder support and board mandates; and LP engagement on investment approach and performance.

The firm is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience in PE, VC, investment banking, or a venture-backed startup, ideally with a technical or scientific background. Strong deal negotiation skills and the ability to work independently are essential. German is not required.
