Associate, Life Sciences Lending

Oaktree Capital Management ($220B+ AUM) seeks an Associate for its Life Sciences Lending team. Oaktree is a leading provider of debt and royalty financing for the global life sciences industry — since 2014, funds managed by Oaktree have committed over $6.0 billion across 54 investments across the healthcare spectrum.

Responsibilities: Analyze company valuations using accounting and business-specific assumptions. Analyze company financial statements and develop detailed financial models with projections. Develop comprehensive investment thesis and memos. Present investment ideas to portfolio managers. Participate in deal structuring, legal documentation, and negotiations. Monitor performance of existing portfolio investments. Conduct interviews with industry experts and company management. Perform qualitative business and industry due diligence.

Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience as an analyst or associate at a top investment bank within investment banking or leveraged finance. Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills. Healthcare industry experience or exposure helpful. Base salary: $150,000 - $160,000.
