Assistant Vice President, Closed-end Fund Accounting

Oaktree Capital Management, with over $200 billion in AUM specializing in credit, private equity, real assets, and listed equities, is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Closed-end Fund Accounting in Los Angeles. The AVP will maintain books and records for various private partnerships and accounts and report to clients and the portfolio group. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining books of pooled private investment funds organized as limited partnerships, accounting for investments and cash, recording purchase/sale transactions, calculating income and expense allocations including distribution waterfalls, and preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports. The role also involves coordinating with independent auditors, custodians, and fund administrators. Requires 10-12 years of accounting or audit experience with Big Four and investment management experience, strong knowledge of Geneva/GWI and Investran, and understanding of back leverage facilities and private fund accounting rules.
