About This Role

Novastone Capital Advisors runs a global Operator-Led Search Fund program, helping mid-career professionals identify, acquire, grow, and exit established small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) typically faced with succession challenges.

The AVP of Portfolio Management, North America is a pivotal role involving maximizing portfolio value through active participation in the strategic decision-making processes of Novastone Capital portfolio companies and closely monitoring their performance throughout the investment lifecycle.

Value creation and strategic guidance responsibilities include contributing to the development and implementation of strategic growth plans; acting as a strategic partner for portfolio company CEOs in building and executing value creation plans and exit strategies; overseeing fund operations aligned with investment strategy; exploring joint value-creation initiatives between portfolio companies; and serving on the Board of Directors of selected portfolio companies. The role also includes leading capital-raising efforts and cultivating investor relationships.

Portfolio monitoring responsibilities include tracking financial metrics, operational performance, and business health of portfolio companies; identifying and managing potential risks by assessing market conditions and industry trends; ensuring portfolio companies meet their goals and deliver expected investor returns; and monitoring fund performance and resource allocation.
