NextView Ventures is seeking an accomplished Principal for Early Stage Investments, based in New York, United States. This role represents a significant opportunity for an experienced investment professional to directly shape the firm's portfolio and contribute to the evolution of the early-stage venture capital landscape. The Principal will operate with substantial autonomy, driving investment thesis development, identifying and evaluating transformative companies, and leading investment execution from initial diligence through close. This position is central to NextView Ventures’ mission of partnering with exceptional founders at their earliest stages, offering a direct path to impactful contributions within a focused investment environment.

The Principal will assume leadership across the full investment lifecycle, encompassing:

Investment Sourcing and Thesis Development:* Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with founders of high-potential early-stage companies aligned with NextView's evolving investment theses. Conduct comprehensive market analysis to pinpoint emerging trends and competitive landscapes.

Due Diligence and Evaluation:* Lead rigorous due diligence processes for prospective investments, including thorough analysis of business models, market opportunity, team capabilities, technology, and financial projections. Develop compelling investment recommendations supported by detailed financial modeling and risk assessment.

Transaction Leadership:* Structure, negotiate, and execute complex investment terms, ensuring alignment with firm objectives and favorable outcomes. Oversee the legal and administrative aspects of investment closings.

Portfolio Engagement and Value Creation:* Actively engage with portfolio company leadership, providing strategic counsel on product development, go-to-market strategies, talent acquisition, and subsequent fundraising rounds. Monitor performance metrics and contribute to board-level discussions.

Ecosystem Building and Representation:* Cultivate and expand NextView's network among founders, co-investors, limited partners, and industry experts. Represent the firm at relevant industry events, contributing to its thought leadership and brand presence within the venture community.

This position is based in New York, United States. A competitive compensation package, reflective of the role's seniority, responsibilities, and market standards for a Principal in early-stage venture capital, will be provided.
