Key Opportunity
Neuberger Berman seeks an experienced Treasury Vice President to join its Private Equity operations. This is a critical role responsible for managing the firm's liquidity, cash flow, and banking relationships within a sophisticated investment management environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the financial infrastructure supporting Neuberger Berman's Private Equity strategies.
Neuberger Berman is a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager. With a long history of serving institutional and individual investors, the firm manages a broad range of strategies, including a significant and growing Private Equity platform. This role is specifically embedded within the Private Equity asset class, focusing on its unique treasury requirements and supporting its continued expansion.
The Treasury Vice President will oversee critical treasury functions for Neuberger Berman's Private Equity funds and related entities. Key responsibilities include:
Cash Management:* Developing and executing strategies for cash forecasting, liquidity management, and optimizing cash balances across multiple funds and currencies. This includes managing daily cash positions and ensuring adequate liquidity for investment activities and operational needs.
Banking Relationships:* Managing and strengthening relationships with key banking partners, ensuring efficient and cost-effective services, and negotiating terms for banking facilities, credit lines, and other financial products.
Fund Operations Support:* Collaborating closely with fund accounting, operations, and investment teams on capital calls, distributions, and fund launches/closings, ensuring timely and accurate cash movements.
Risk Management:* Identifying and mitigating financial risks related to foreign exchange and interest rate exposures for Private Equity investments and operations, including the execution of hedging strategies where appropriate.
Operational Efficiency:* Implementing and enhancing treasury systems and processes to improve efficiency, control, and reporting capabilities, leveraging technology to streamline workflows.
Compliance and Reporting:* Ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations, preparing comprehensive treasury reports for senior management, fund boards, and other stakeholders.
Strategic Initiatives:* Participating in strategic projects related to treasury technology, new fund structures, and firm-wide financial initiatives, providing expert input on treasury implications.
This position is based in Neuberger Berman's New York, United States office.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of treasury operations within an alternative asset management context, particularly Private Equity. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
