Private Markets Data Analyst / Senior Associate

Neuberger Berman Private Markets is seeking a Private Markets Data Analyst or Senior Associate to join the Data Strategy team, which provides centralized oversight of end-to-end investment and portfolio data across all Private Markets divisions — including Primary, Secondary, and Co-investment strategies in Private Equity and Private Credit.

Key Responsibilities:

- Become a domain expert in portfolio company data gathering and analytical requests

- Provide end-to-end ownership of investment and portfolio company metrics, including monitoring deal closings and tracking key financial figures

- Gather, aggregate, and produce analytics on portfolios, underlying investments, and client accounts

- Support fundraising, marketing, and investor reporting with portfolio analysis and RFP data

- Calculate complex performance KPIs for client reporting, marketing, and fundraising

- Assist in maintaining data governance standards including data ownership, quality rules, and lineage

- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation for data workflows

This is an individual contributor role for someone building a career in financial services data with hands-on exposure to the full breadth of private markets investing, working closely with senior investment professionals.

Qualifications:

- Strong academic background in finance, economics, or quantitative discipline

- Experience in financial services data, portfolio operations, or investor reporting

- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment
