About the Role
Neuberger Berman Private Markets - which manages over $150 billion of client commitments, including more than $25 billion on behalf of Japanese institutional clients - is hiring a Private Equity Analyst/Associate for its Japan Business Coverage Team, based in New York. The team supports customized separate account programs across Primary Fund Investments (buyout, special situations, growth equity, venture capital), Equity Co-Investments, Secondaries, and Private Credit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage investment planning and portfolio construction for customized separate accounts serving Japanese investors
- Prepare and present materials, and coordinate onsite meetings for Japanese clients
- Liaise with investment, legal, finance and the Tokyo sales force to respond to RFPs and client inquiries, and deliver monitoring reports
- Develop deep expertise across private investment strategies, acting as a product specialist for the Japanese sales team
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of relevant experience (investment banking, private equity marketing/accounting/reporting, or placement agent background)
- English and Japanese language proficiency required
- Visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates
Compensation
The posted salary range is $100,000-$150,000, plus a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
