Venture Analyst - Nemetschek CVC

Nemetschek Group is seeking a Venture Analyst for their Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) division based in Munich, Germany. The CVC team, established in 2021, has made 14 investments across the AEC/O (architecture, engineering, construction, and operations) sector with a stage-agnostic strategy spanning the US, UK, Europe, and APAC.

The Venture Analyst will support the CVC team in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in high-potential startups within the AECO sector. Key responsibilities include deal sourcing and screening by building relationships with entrepreneurs, incubators, accelerators, and VC funds; tracking deal flow through platforms like PitchBook and Tracxn; and screening investment opportunities by analyzing product-market fit, team strength, and scalability.

Additional responsibilities include managing the internal CRM system with accurate startup information, assisting with portfolio performance reporting for executive leadership, managing the internal portfolio dashboard with quarterly financial and metric updates, and supporting due diligence processes including assessment of business models, market fit, technology, team, and financials — summarizing findings into investment memos and IC presentations.

The role reports to the Head of Start Up & Venture Investments and must be based at Nemetschek HQ in Munich.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus); minimum 2-3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a startup; strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
