Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners ("MSIP") is a leading global infrastructure investment platform established in 2006 with 40+ dedicated investment professionals based across three primary offices in New York, London and Melbourne. MSIP focuses on the acquisition of private infrastructure assets, with the potential for value creation through active management, located primarily within OECD countries. MSIP primarily focuses on power generation & utilities, energy transition infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, and digital infrastructure sectors. Since inception, MSIP has invested in 40 portfolio companies across four funds and holds over $17 billion in commitments across its four funds.

MSIP is seeking an experienced Associate to work closely with senior members of the MSIP team to evaluate new investment opportunities and support the management of existing portfolio companies. The experienced Associate will play a generalist role across MSIP's infrastructure investment verticals and will have meaningful responsibility throughout the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio management. The role is intended for candidates who have transitioned from investment banking into private equity and are looking to continue building their investing career on the buy side.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research and analysis on macroeconomic trends, infrastructure sectors, investment themes, and target assets. Build and maintain advanced financial models for valuation, transaction structuring, scenario analysis, and portfolio monitoring. Prepare investment memoranda, investment committee materials, and other presentations supporting investment decisions. Lead and coordinate due diligence workstreams with management teams, advisors, consultants, lenders, and other transaction counterparties. Evaluate prospective investment opportunities and assist in transaction execution from initial screening through closing. Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.

Qualifications

Approximately 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of investment banking experience and 2 years of private equity investing experience, preferably within infrastructure, energy, power, transportation, telecommunications, or related sectors. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities. Infrastructure sector experience is preferred but not required.

Expected base pay: $175,000-$225,000 per year.
