About This Role

Role Overview

Meravo Capital, an operationally led emerging markets growth equity firm, is hiring an Investment Partner for its Fund I, which targets African digital 'infrastructure orchestrators' — asset-light fintech and digital platforms at Series B and C stage. This is a foundational senior hire: the Investment Partner works directly alongside the Managing Partner as the fund's senior investment professional, sharing responsibility for deal origination, execution, portfolio management, and LP relations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and co-lead deal origination across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa and Francophone West Africa

- Conduct and oversee investment due diligence at Series B and C stage, including financial modelling, market analysis, regulatory assessment and management evaluation

- Present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee and manage documentation from term sheet through to close

- Take active portfolio management responsibility post-investment, including board representation, KPI oversight, covenant monitoring and follow-on investment assessment

- Contribute to LP fundraising and investor relations, supporting the Managing Partner in institutional conversations

- Build and develop the operating team (Deal Origination, Portfolio Operations, Data & Systems) as the fund scales

- Represent Meravo Capital externally at industry events, with regulators and ecosystem bodies

Qualifications

- 10+ years of investment experience, with at least five years in growth equity, venture capital or private equity focused on Emerging Markets

- Demonstrable investment track record at Series B stage or beyond, with examples of value creation

- Africa market knowledge — on-the-ground operating or investing experience strongly preferred

- Strong relationships within the fintech and digital infrastructure ecosystem

- Financial modelling proficiency and ability to lead due diligence across complex, multi-jurisdictional businesses

- DFI experience, board experience, and Francophone West Africa exposure are highly desirable

Compensation & Location

Competitive base salary with a contractual step-up on first close, meaningful carried interest participation (3-year cliff, ratable vesting), and co-investment rights alongside the fund. Title: Partner, Meravo Capital. Location is flexible, with regular travel across target markets.
