Senior Manager, Investment Management

Lightsource bp, a global leader in onshore renewable energy development fully acquired by bp in 2024, is seeking a Senior Manager of Investment Management for its U.S. Finance team in Denver or Austin. The company delivers large-scale solar and energy storage solutions operating under a capital-light investment model that retains management and equity interest in projects while leveraging third-party capital including debt, tax equity, and structured equity financing.

The Investment Management team serves as the primary interface between Lightsource bp and its capital partners — from the close of financing transactions through ongoing relationship management, reporting, and commercial interaction until potential full exit. The Senior Manager will provide critical financial modeling and analytical support across the U.S. renewable energy portfolio, working closely with Structured Finance, Asset Management, Finance, Power Marketing, Legal, and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining robust financial models for individual asset portfolios with return and valuation calculations, debt sizing, ratio analysis, and scenario sensitivities; updating portfolio models with actuals and maintaining monthly, semi-annual, and annual cash flow models; and providing support on debt financing, refinancing, and M&A transactions. The role offers exposure to a high-profile renewable infrastructure platform at the intersection of energy transition investing and institutional capital markets.
