About This Role
Leon Capital Group (LCG) is a founder-led diversified holding company with a long-term, partnership-driven approach across healthcare, financial services, real estate and technology. LCG's culture is entrepreneurial and grounded in the belief that capital, relationships and creativity compounded over time drive enduring value creation.
The Private Equity Associate will join the Leon Capital Group Direct Investments Team, a group of business builders dedicated to launching and scaling new operating platforms. The team partners directly with founders and executives to create, acquire and grow businesses that become part of LCG's expanding portfolio. The Direct Investments team currently oversees 10+ operating companies and platforms spanning healthcare, financial services, consumer services and insurance. The Associate will play a hands-on role across all stages of investment, execution and company-building, with high performers given the opportunity to take on increasing ownership across investments and grow into future principals and platform leaders at LCG.
On the investments and deal-execution side, responsibilities include managing and executing new investment opportunities (including platform and add-on deals to existing portfolio companies), leading financial analysis and due diligence, assisting with transaction structuring, negotiation and documentation, supporting management of existing investments including investor reporting, and contributing to strategy development and pipeline tracking.
On the company-building side, the Associate will work hand-in-hand with portfolio company management teams to drive growth and operational improvement, execute initiatives in corporate finance, business development, strategic planning and performance management, partner with founders to identify and scale new growth opportunities, and support M&A integration and post-close value creation.
Qualifications include 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a high-growth startup or operating environment; strong analytical and technical skills; demonstrated experience driving execution through deal processes or operating projects; and a bachelor's degree from a leading academic institution. The role requires relocation to Dallas and an in-person, five-days-a-week schedule at LCG headquarters.
