About This Role
Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT) is the venture capital and growth equity arm of Koch Industries, a large, privately owned business with significant capital strength and liquidity. KDT's investment mandate is to originate and invest in promising entrepreneurs and disruptive technologies, building transformative platforms across various industries and technologies.
KDT is seeking a Director to join the team, responsible for underwriting, due diligence, and transaction execution for new financial investments in high-potential companies within the semiconductor and infrastructure theme.
What You Will Do:
- Drive underwriting, financial modeling, and due diligence activities for potential equity investments
- Prepare presentations on potential transactions and investments for senior management that identify and assess valuation, return profile, competitive advantage, and risks
- Perform industry and competitive analysis related to potential investments
- Work with current portfolio companies, including in governance roles such as board member or observer
- Build and maintain an internal and external relationship network within the semiconductor and AI infrastructure industry to stay informed of technology and commercial developments
- Engage with industry-leading entrepreneurs and Koch executive leaders
- Travel up to 20%
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working in the semiconductor industry OR a degree in Engineering or Applied Physics
- Experience in financial analysis and building financial models
- Experience in corporate business development, mergers & acquisitions, or business investments
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Bachelor's degree related to Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Investments, Engineering, or Physics
- Experience conducting company due diligence
- Experience conducting market or industry analysis and research
- Experience as a board member or observer
