Asset Management - Infrastructure Investments - Associate

The Infrastructure Investments Group (IIG) is a dedicated team and business unit within JPMAM Global Alternatives focused on advising a perpetual-life strategy that offers investors a moderate-risk, long-term approach to private infrastructure equity investing. The strategy is one of the largest of its kind with approximately $47 billion in committed capital under management, representing 11 times growth over the past 10 years. The current portfolio includes 18 companies that own approximately 1,035 underlying assets globally across water, heat and electricity (renewable energy), water/natural gas/electric utilities, and trains and airports. The Associate will work closely with senior IIG team members to develop and execute business plans for portfolio companies pre- and post-acquisition; liaise directly with portfolio company management on all aspects of business development including M&A and financings; participate actively in the budgeting and strategic planning processes; attend board and committee meetings; and oversee relationships with shareholders, operating partners, and co-investors. Additionally, the role involves screening investment opportunities from qualitative and quantitative perspectives, including due diligence, valuation, and drafting investment memorandums for internal investment committees. Qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience in private equity or infrastructure buy-side investing, working proficiency in operating and valuation models including discounted cash flow analyses, and strong interest in infrastructure sectors such as utilities and transportation.
