About This Role
ICG (Intermediate Capital Group) is seeking an Investment Operations Manager to join its Strategic Equity business in London. ICG Strategic Equity is a specialist private equity investment manager overseeing $21 billion of commitments across commingled funds and separately managed accounts, delivering top-quartile performance since its founding in 2014. The business is the largest GP-led secondaries investor globally, specialising in Single Asset Continuation Vehicle investments of scale, typically exceeding $500 million in transaction size.
The Investment Operations Manager will sit within the team responsible for overseeing the operations and fund finance function of ICG Strategic Equity's funds. The role serves as a cross-functional coordinator, working closely with the investment team and wider ICG support teams on performance management, investor reporting, and fund forecasting. The team is integral to the operational performance of the funds, managing liquidity and day-to-day fund operations.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and preparing quarterly performance reports, customised LP reports, investor day presentations, and LPAC decks. The role also involves detailed review of financial models across all funds, fund forecasting for strategic decisions, monitoring and optimisation of bridge facility usage, ICG carry calculations, dry powder and capacity analysis. The Investment Operations Manager will respond to external investor queries, support fundraising activities, and assist with ODD materials.
ICG Strategic Equity has fully deployed its Fund IV ($5.1 billion) and held a final close on Fund V in February 2025 with total commitments of $11.0 billion, which is currently being deployed. The first close of Fund VI is expected in Q1 2027, offering the successful candidate direct exposure to a live fundraising process.
Candidates must be qualified chartered accountants or equivalent, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience working with financial forecast models, and a background in financial services — ideally within private equity or investment management. Understanding of closed-ended fund performance metrics including IRR, money multiples, and carried interest is required.
