Role Overview

HEM Family Office (HEMFO) is a single-family office providing financial and investment services in support of a multi-generation family, with a long-term strategic investment orientation focused on professionalism and discretion. The office is seeking an Associate - Investments to join its team in Birmingham, Alabama.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and help execute the family's investment strategy across asset classes

- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities

- Conduct due diligence and build financial models to support investment decisions

- Monitor existing portfolio investments and performance

- Manage capital calls and distributions

- Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders

- Attend investment committee meetings

- Support tax and estate planning initiatives for the family

Qualifications

- 2-6 years of experience in financial services, preferably in investments, alternative assets, or asset management

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field

- Strong grasp of investing, risk management, and capital markets fundamentals

- Excel proficiency with strong financial and investment modeling skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects

Employment Details

- Full-time, in-person position based in Birmingham, Alabama

- Periodic travel may be required
